More than 1,200 attendees participated over two days of training, professional exchange, and business at one of the region’s premier events for Urban Integrated Pest Management. LATAMPLAGAS was present once again, accompanying the Latin American professional community and sharing two days filled with meetings, field experiences, and new challenges.
On September 14 and 15, Lima once again became the meeting point for practitioners, specialists, and companies involved in Urban Integrated Pest Management with the celebration of the XI International Congress PERUPLAGAS 2026 at the Parque de la Amistad Convention Center in Santiago de Surco.
Attendance once again demonstrated the growth and professionalization taking place across the sector in Latin America. Over the two days of the congress, more than 1,200 participants gathered from diverse fields linked to pest management, environmental health, food safety, manufacturing, and public health.
One of the core pillars of PERUPLAGAS was once again technical training. Specialists from across the Americas and Europe addressed topics at the forefront of today’s professional challenges: management of cockroaches, rodents, flies, and mosquitoes; stored-product pests; application technologies and equipment; new formulations; monitoring and data analysis; artificial intelligence; food safety; and business management, among others. Traditional roundtable discussions also enabled participants to compare field experiences and professional approaches to shared regional challenges.
PERUPLAGAS 2026 was much more than lectures. The commercial exhibition, featuring 27 booths, showcased products, technologies, and solutions developed by industry suppliers. Dedicated networking and business spaces offered an opportunity to reconnect, forge new partnerships, and strengthen relationships among professionals, companies, and institutions from different countries.
This combination of knowledge, innovation, professional exchange, and commercial development reflects an increasingly clear trend in our profession: Integrated Pest Management requires practitioners prepared to interpret ever more complex scenarios and capable of integrating prevention, technology, data, and management into decision-making.
