Scope and effective date
Last updated: August 6, 2026.
This policy applies to latamplagas.com, its forms and user accounts, and the Meta application named Latamplagas Estadisticas. Latam Plagas is responsible for the processing described here.
Information we process
Website information
We may receive names, email addresses, phone numbers, enquiry content and information required to manage accounts, subscriptions, editorial requests or business relationships.
Information received from Meta
When an authorised administrator connects Meta accounts, the application may receive page and professional-account identifiers and names; aggregate audience, reach, impression, interaction and click metrics; post, reel, video or story identifiers and dates; and technical data needed to maintain authorisation, including access tokens and connection status.
Limited scope: the integration is designed for internal statistics. It does not request Meta passwords, private messages, contact lists, payment methods or advertising-account information.
Why we use this information
- to display Facebook and Instagram statistics in the Latam Plagas internal dashboard;
- to measure editorial performance and understand which content is useful to the audience;
- to prepare internal reports and aggregate reports for advertisers or sponsors;
- to operate accounts, respond to enquiries and keep the site secure; and
- to meet legal obligations and respond to privacy requests.
Reports shared with sponsors use aggregate results and do not include personal identifiers of readers or social-media users.
Legal basis
We process information on the basis of administrator authorisation, the consent of people who complete forms, the performance of requested services and our legitimate interest in operating, protecting and analysing Latam Plagas channels. Meta authorisation can be revoked in the relevant account settings or by contacting us.
Service providers and transfers
We may use hosting, email, analytics and technical-support providers that process information only to provide their services. Google Analytics is used to measure aggregate site usage. Facebook and Instagram are Meta Platforms services and are also governed by Meta policies.
We do not sell personal information. We only share it when necessary to operate the service, meet a legal obligation or protect legitimate rights.
Retention and security
Access tokens are kept while an integration remains active and are stored outside the public website directory. Aggregate daily statistics may be retained for historical comparisons and reporting. We apply access controls, encrypted connections, activity logs and other reasonable safeguards.
Your rights
You may request access, updating, correction, deletion or objection regarding your personal data, subject to applicable law, including Argentina's Personal Data Protection Act No. 25,326. For data connected to the Meta application, see our data deletion instructions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when site features, the Meta integration or legal obligations change. The current version will always be published at this address with its update date.
