Apertura editorial de la octava edición de Latam Plagas

Dear and appreciated readers, first of all we apologize for the delay that occurred between the seventh and eighth edition of our magazine. Some organizational aspects have required more time than appropriate and we have been delayed in the launch of this issue. As on the first day, we are sure and convinced that knowledge based on real and consistent information is the fundamental basis to promote the growth of business and the global industry of professional pest management. On repeated occasions we mention the projected growth that the demand for services will suffer, mainly driven by population growth, the sustained development of urban processes and food production. From LATAMPLAGAS we have proposed to accompany the PMP industry (pest management professionals) by providing industry-specific information, new control techniques, trends, product launches, business management, training courses, technical conferences, literature, etc. Our work team aims to design and develop an element of technical/scientific and commercial dissemination, where the reader finds concrete answers to their questions that arise in the management of their company. The pest control activity developed professionally involves the implementation of comprehensive environmental modification programs, effective communication and education of people, use of physical control strategies and the precise application of chemical control tools. Each of these actions requires training and specialization, such that the suitability of the technicians will positively or negatively impact the effectiveness of pest population management programs. At the same time, if we consider the diversity of areas in which this activity is required, the levels of knowledge and expertise are truly high.

At LATAMPLAGAS we try to address the different problems from diverse angles, where each author shares his knowledge and experiences, enriching the spectrum of strategies and tools to implement according to the scenarios and the organization to control. All this is imperative and necessary, but it is not enough. Every service company must transcend its excellence and must progress proportionally to the growth of its income. Billing levels and operating margin are determining factors in any business, although a good work environment, teamwork, attracting and retaining long-term clients are the actions that complete a successful business. Our magazine, through the contribution of relevant authors, will also provide you with information about business and business management. In this way, different readers and their own concerns will be implicit in the different editions.
