Argentine Entomological Society
On its official website, the Argentine Entomological Society promotes activities related to the knowledge and research of insects and arachnids in their different aspects: systematics, ecology, biogeography, cytogenetics, behavior, agricultural pests, veterinary medical entomology, etc., and maintains a specialized library. Likewise, it facilitates communication between entomologists in the country and abroad, both professionals and amateurs.
It currently brings together more than 350 Argentine and foreign entomologists (Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, United States, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela). The majority of its partners are professionals who work as researchers and/or professors at National Universities, CONICET, INTA, Experimental Stations, etc., many of them of recognized international prestige. Undergraduate and postgraduate university students, as well as amateurs of this scientific area, are also part of the Society.
