PERUPLAGAS 2018: interview with the president of the organizing committee

What is PERUPLAGAS?
PERUPLAGAS is one of the most important international technical-scientific events on Integrated Urban Pest Management (IUPM). The third edition will take place on November 8 and 9 of this year at the facilities of the Ricardo Palma University, Lima – Peru.
Who is it addressed to?
It is aimed at IUPM companies, as well as the food industry, agribusiness, livestock and extractive industries, companies in the cleaning and disinfection sector, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, retail, and the state sector related to the control of vectors of public health importance.
What are you looking for?
It seeks to strengthen skills through the socialization of the most modern and efficient strategies available in the national and international market for Integrated Urban Pest Management, as well as successful experiences developed in other latitudes. This edition will feature 27 speakers of recognized prestige and experience from India, the USA, Italy, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru. It will also have a renovated fair space for the exhibition of new products, equipment and innovative technologies, as well as the possibility of strengthening commercial relationships.
What is the relevance?
PERUPLAGAS has become a space for the convergence of people and companies from all latitudes, with participants from Australia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, USA, Mexico, Ecuador, Paraguay and all of Peru. Participants, in addition to improving their knowledge and skills, will obtain a certificate from the Ricardo Palma University, a prestigious study center in the country.
What topics will be addressed?
In the main auditorium, topics related to the Integrated Management of Synanthropic Rodents, Urban Birds, Flies, Cockroaches and Stored Grain Pests will be addressed; and in the secondary auditorium, two specialized workshops on IUPM in the food industry and food control will be held.
