Editorial: eleventh edition of Latam Plagas
Editorial presentation of edition 11, with the axes, context and technical perspective that guide this issue of Latam Plagas.
We are in the first quarter of 2021 and nothing has changed in relation to the Pandemic. COVID is still present and the new year has not neutralized it. It's amazing how we usually assume that on December 31 at 24:00 everything will start again. Unfortunately, this is just an illusion, although it is true that a new year begins and the opportunities for each person and humanity itself will be infinite. Nothing resets, the good and bad things are still there. There are nations that have managed things very well, others well, some fairly and several in a deplorable way. Our magazine is distributed on several continents, but its greatest reach is in Latin America, hence its name. In the south of the continent, there are several very clear examples of what should not have been done. However, the prevailing situation and the mismanagement from politics, our industry has been greatly favored, and we are finally getting closer to the long-awaited social recognition as an important part of public health systems. As I have mentioned in other editorials, depending on the countries and individual abilities to adapt and transcend changes, many companies have gone bankrupt while others have increased their volume of services and billing. The new challenges reveal the need to specialize and professionally train, seeking the use and dissemination of good practices in integrated pest management and environmental sanitation. From LATAMPLAGAS we redouble our efforts to bring you updated and useful information. We are convinced that the professional company will find in our notes and general content, a lot of technical-scientific knowledge applicable to their daily practices.
biological can be controlled in the same way always, there are no master recipes or magic solutions. The well-known KNOW HOW or knowing how involves years of reading, training and, above all, a lot of field practice. These concepts have guided us to the permanent search for professionals, scientists and technicians who can contribute their expertise from their place, giving us the best of themselves and allowing the intellectual and educational growth of each of our readers. We are in favor of promoting healthy competition, allowing companies and their people to raise service quality standards and seek to position themselves in the demanding market thanks to their skills and suitability, leaving aside ridiculous prices or offers. We are in an industry that merits the generation of multidisciplinary teams, with specialists for each area or field of action, which is why LATAMPLAGAS will permanently seek a plurality of topics and authors. In this issue we have once again included our central infographic in order to provide you with practical material with good design and synthetic but relevant information. They will be able to access the annual agenda of world events and training recommendations, courses and literature.
The generation of information is dynamic, as are the tools and strategies we use. Population control of pest or pathogen organisms requires theoretical and practical knowledge. No organism
