30 years growing the industry in Brazil. More than 4,000 participants across the three days of the trade fair, nearly 600 attendees at the training sessions, and 36 exhibitors took part in a special edition of EXPOPRAG, celebrating three decades of consolidated history as one of Latin America’s premier Professional Pest Management gatherings.

On August 26, 27, and 28, the Frei Caneca Convention Center in São Paulo hosted a new edition of EXPOPRAG, the traditional International Congress and Trade Fair organized by the Associação dos Controladores de Vetores e Pragas Urbanas (APRAG). This edition held particular significance as it celebrated 30 years of an event founded in 1996 that has accompanied much of the evolution and professionalization of the Brazilian industry ever since.

Across three days, participants toured the exhibition floor, turning it into a major meeting point for manufacturers, distributors, technical directors, business owners, professionals, and institutions involved in urban pest and vector management.

The scale and diversity that our activity currently reaches were reflected in the exhibition booths. Alongside manufacturers and distributors of pest control products, the trade show brought together companies specializing in application machinery and technologies, monitoring and physical control equipment, digital management systems, laboratory testing services for manufacturers, insurance providers, fleet vehicles, and industry associations—an offering that demonstrates how Professional Pest Management is today an increasingly broad, technological, and specialized industry.

The academic program matched that evolution. Over the three days, technicians and professionals attended training activities, choosing from more than 18 plenary lectures, technical courses, and dedicated training tracks. The program covered topics directly tied to the profession’s current challenges: biology and management of diverse pests, monitoring, emerging technologies, chemical safety, business management, technical responsibility, and professional development. A workshop dedicated specifically to the food industry also enabled deeper discussion on Integrated Pest Management, monitoring, data analysis, risk prevention, and food safety. Another distinctive feature of EXPOPRAG is the integration of training with the regulatory and professional requirements of the Brazilian market, allowing technical managers to earn continuing education credits and required points.
