Knowledge, industry, and professionalization in Central America. On September 7 and 8, the Sheraton Hotel in Panama City hosted PANAMA PEST 2026, the International Congress organized by the Panamanian Pest Control Association (APCP), which celebrated its 17th edition this year under the theme “Connecting strategy, technique, and industry.”
Across two intensive days, more than 400 attendees took part in a gathering that once again highlighted training and the exchange of experiences as essential tools for continuing to professionalize the sector in Panama and throughout the region.
The program brought together national and international specialists to address key aspects of Professional Pest and Vector Management, combining technical expertise with new technologies, prevention strategies, management, and business development.
Indeed, one of the most compelling aspects of this edition was its comprehensive view of the profession. Alongside specific pest management challenges, dedicated sessions examined the issues currently facing industry businesses: how to grow sustainably, build teams, strengthen leadership, and develop organizations capable of keeping pace with an increasingly technical and professionalized activity.
Training was complemented by an active commercial exhibition floor. Nine companies participated with booths showcasing products, equipment, technologies, and solutions for the professional market. The exhibition enabled direct contact among manufacturers, distributors, and practitioners, creating opportunities to build new partnerships and strengthen commercial relationships.
Networking was another hallmark of Panama Pest 2026. The sessions and shared spaces over both days allowed professionals from different countries to exchange field experiences, learn about other market realities, and discuss the current challenges facing our industry.
From a regional perspective, gatherings like this carry added value by bringing together experiences, technologies, and knowledge developed across different countries, helping build an increasingly connected Latin American community. PANAMA PEST 2026 once again demonstrated that training, professional exchange, innovation, and business are inseparable pillars for the growth of Professional Pest and Vector Management in Latin America.
